The Methodology

A structured way to design sales organizations that perform.

The Aurelia Sales Success Framework™ is the methodology behind every engagement. It is a systems-based approach to diagnosing, designing, and operationalizing the structure that makes performance possible.

Start Here Every Aurelia engagement begins with the Commercial Performance Diagnostic Explore the Diagnostic
A System, Not a Service

The framework is built on a simple conviction: commercial performance is not a talent problem. It is a design problem. When the system is designed well, performance follows. When it isn't, no amount of effort can compensate.

PART 01 The Process

Five stages, one journey.

Discover → Diagnose → Design → Deploy → Drive. The structured path that moves a sales organization from initial conversation to sustained performance — whether engaged as a complete arc or one phase at a time.

PART 02 The Lens

Six pillars of performance.

The structural dimensions across which every sales organization succeeds or struggles. The lens we use to diagnose where to focus and what to strengthen.

PART 03 The Integration

Three disciplines aligned.

Sales, marketing, and revenue management. The three commercial disciplines of hospitality. Performance only emerges when they operate in alignment, not in parallel.

Five stages, one journey.

The Aurelia framework moves through five stages, in order, each building on the one before. Diagnosis informs design, design enables deployment, and deployment translates into sustained performance — whether an engagement spans the full arc or focuses on a single phase.

01
Stage One

Discover.

Understand the organization on its own terms. Before any diagnostics begin, we work to understand what makes this business specifically — its history, its commercial structure, what's been tried, what's worked, and the dynamics that shape how its sales function operates today.

A shared, contextual understanding of the organization before any judgments are made.

02
Stage Two

Diagnose.

Identify structural challenges, revenue gaps, and performance opportunities. Through leadership interviews, team conversations, and performance data, we map the organization across the six pillars to find what is working, what isn't, and why.

A clear, objective view of where the organization stands and what is actually limiting performance.

03
Stage Three

Design.

Develop the sales strategy, operating model, and performance frameworks. Diagnosis tells us where to act; design tells us how. This is where decisions get made about structure, focus, priorities, and the operating cadence required to support consistent execution.

A structured roadmap that translates insight into a coherent path forward.

04
Stage Four

Deploy.

Implement processes, leadership cadence, and sales execution systems. The hands-on work of operationalizing the strategy — embedding the structures, rhythms, and accountability that make the roadmap real. This is where design becomes practice.

The strategy installed and operational, with the systems to sustain it.

05
Stage Five

Drive.

Support ongoing performance optimization and sustained revenue growth. Strategy and structure are not one-time events. Drive is the phase where Aurelia continues alongside the organization, refining the operating model, supporting leadership, and ensuring that the system continues to perform as conditions change.

Performance that compounds — not by accident, but by ongoing intention.

Six pillars of performance.

The lens through which we diagnose every sales organization. Each pillar represents a structural dimension where performance is built — or where it quietly breaks down. The diagnostic evaluates each one independently and in relation to the others.

01

Revenue Generation

Intentional, proactive revenue building. Sustainable growth is not the result of inbound demand. It is built through focused, deliberate effort aligned to the organization's goals and desired mix of business.

02

Strategic Direction

Clear positioning and commercial focus. Strategy answers where the organization plays, how it wins, and what trade-offs it accepts. Without it, every downstream decision becomes negotiable.

03

Structure & Systems

The operating model that produces consistent performance. Roles, processes, pipeline management, and the cadence of work. Structure is what makes intention reliable.

04

Commercial Optimization

Alignment across the full commercial system. Sales, marketing, and revenue management operating as a connected whole rather than three functions optimizing independently.

05

Performance & Insights

The use of data to inform decisions and shape the path forward. Visibility into pipeline, conversion, and performance — not as reports, but as a working part of how the organization thinks.

06

Leadership & Culture

The human dimension that determines whether the rest holds. Accountability, development, and the cultural conditions in which a sales team can be expected to perform at its best.

Three disciplines, working together.

In hospitality, the commercial function is built on three disciplines: sales, marketing, and revenue management. Aurelia's work happens at their intersection, because performance only emerges when these three operate in alignment — not in parallel.

01
Sales

The team, structure, and execution that translate demand into booked, qualified revenue across segments.

02
Marketing

The positioning, brand strategy, and demand generation that create the pipeline sales then converts.

03
Revenue Management

The pricing strategy, channel mix, and yield discipline that protect profitability across the portfolio.

When sales, marketing, and revenue management are designed to work together, performance becomes reliable. That is the work.

The Framework In Practice

From inconsistent results to reliable growth.

A case from Erin's tenure as Vice President of Sales at AutoCamp — one of several bodies of work where the principles that became the Aurelia framework were applied in practice. The framework itself took shape over years of sales leadership across the hospitality industry, first emerging during her tenure at Pacifica Hotels.

The moment.

AutoCamp had built one of the most distinctive outdoor hospitality brands in the United States. The concept was loved by guests, recognized by media, and growing fast. But the sales function — the engine responsible for turning that brand into booked revenue — was underbuilt.

The team was talented and working hard. But the structural elements that would let that effort translate into consistent results were missing. There was no defined approach to outbound revenue, no shared sales rhythm, no clear architecture for how the sales organization should grow alongside the brand.

The work.

Erin joined as Vice President of Sales and applied what would become the Aurelia framework. The first months focused on diagnosis — mapping the organization across the six pillars, understanding where commercial alignment was strong, and identifying the structural gaps quietly limiting results.

From there: design, then deployment. A defined revenue generation approach. A structured system that gave the team clarity about roles, priorities, and pace. A leadership cadence that made performance visible and adjustments possible. New revenue streams identified and built, alongside the disciplined work of strengthening the core.

The Results

The numbers speak for themselves.

Year One
34%

Revenue growth in the first full year of the redesigned sales organization.

Year Two
50%+

Year-over-year revenue growth as the framework compounded.

New Revenue
$2M

An entirely new revenue stream developed alongside the core business.

The results were not a function of working harder. They were a function of working from a system that was designed to perform.

When the Framework Fits

The moments where structure makes the difference.

Aurelia is engaged at moments of growth, change, or complexity — when greater structure, alignment, and direction are needed to unlock more consistent performance. The framework is most often applied when:

Pre-opening or ownership transition

New ownership, new property, or new leadership requires a sales organization built from the ground up — or rebuilt to fit a new context.

Inconsistent or unreliable performance

Results vary month to month, quarter to quarter, with no clear pattern. The team is active, but performance is hard to count on.

Active teams without clear focus

Energy and effort are not in short supply. What's missing is the structure that focuses both on the highest-leverage work.

Unclear roles and expectations

The team is doing the work, but the boundaries between roles are blurry, and accountability becomes diffuse.

Misalignment between commercial disciplines

Sales, marketing, and revenue management are each working — but not working together. Optimization happens in silos.

Limited visibility into performance

Pipeline, conversion, and performance data exist but aren't actively shaping decisions. Leadership lacks clear sightlines.

Begin the Conversation

See where the framework fits your organization.

Every engagement begins with a focused conversation about your sales organization, the moment it's in, and whether the framework is the right approach for what you're trying to accomplish.
