Accessibility Statement.
Aurelia Hospitality Consulting LLC believes the web should work for everyone. We are committed to making aureliahospitalityconsulting.com accessible to visitors of all abilities and to continuously improving the experience for users who rely on assistive technologies.
Our commitment.
Accessibility is not a feature we add at the end — it is a discipline we build into how the site is designed, written, and maintained. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
Our target standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and recognized worldwide as the benchmark for accessible commercial websites.
What we have built in.
The current site has been designed with the following accessibility considerations:
- Semantic structure — pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3), landmark regions (header, main, footer), and meaningful element types so screen readers can navigate the content logically
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, the navigation menu, the disciplines accordion) can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds
- Image alternatives — meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as such so screen readers can skip them
- Form labels — every form field has an associated label, and required fields are clearly marked
- Responsive design — the site adapts to a wide range of screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Reduced motion — animations and scroll effects respect the visitor's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting; if you have it enabled, decorative animations are minimized or removed - Skip-to-content link — keyboard users can bypass the navigation and jump directly to the main content of each page
Areas of ongoing improvement.
We approach accessibility as an ongoing practice rather than a finished destination. Areas we are actively monitoring and improving include:
- Third-party embedded content (such as scheduling tools or analytics widgets) which may have accessibility characteristics outside our direct control
- PDF documents and downloadable resources, which we are working to make fully accessible across screen-reader software
- Periodic re-audits of new pages and features added to the site
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site, we genuinely want to know — your feedback helps us improve.
Report an accessibility issue.
If any part of our website is difficult to access, please tell us. We treat accessibility feedback as a priority and respond within five (5) business days, with most issues resolved within fifteen (15) business days where technically feasible.
When reporting an issue, it helps us if you can share: the page URL where you encountered the issue, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and a brief description of what you experienced.
Reasonable accommodations.
If you have a disability and need information from this website in an alternative format — such as a document read aloud, content provided over the phone, or a meeting conducted with accessibility accommodations — please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information or assistance you need.
This commitment extends to prospective clients evaluating an engagement with Aurelia. If accessibility considerations would help you participate in a discovery call, review proposals, or work with us during an engagement, we will accommodate those needs.
Standards & methodology.
This statement reflects the current state of our site as of the date listed above. Our accessibility approach is informed by:
- The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium
- The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable U.S. state-level accessibility laws
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, where relevant
We test the site using a combination of automated accessibility tools, manual keyboard-only navigation, and screen-reader testing. We do not claim full compliance — accessibility is a continuous practice, and we acknowledge that some content may still need refinement.
Third-party content.
Our site may include content or functionality provided by third parties — such as embedded scheduling tools, social media links, or analytics scripts. While we select third-party partners with accessibility in mind, we do not have direct control over the accessibility of their products. If you encounter difficulty with third-party content on our site, please let us know so we can advocate on your behalf or provide the information through an alternative channel.
An accessible web is a better web.
Accessibility is part of how we believe businesses — and the digital experiences they create — should operate. If we can do something better, we want to hear from you.
